Nabodeep Trading International (NTI) is a leading supplier of phosphate-based fertilizers in Bangladesh. It is the Official Exclusive Representative of the Tunisian State-Owned Phosphate and Phosphate-based chemical fertilizer producers Groupe Chemique Tunisien (GCT). This exclusivity appointment makes NTI responsible for the supply of a significant share of all esteemed parties’ raw materials and chemical fertilizer demands in our local Agricultural Industry. This is warranted by maintaining a significant market share on Imported Phosphate-based fertilizers. Nabodeep Trading International (NTI), founded by A.K. M Jahangir Alam with 30+ years of industry experience, became a foundation to the current local horticulture. NTI has grown significantly over the years, driven by its strong leadership and strategic vision.
This growth trajectory was further accelerated with the addition of Shafin Alam, whose diverse industry experience and global perspective have played a pivotal role in shaping NTI’s future. He was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, before moving to Canada in 2008 to pursue his studies at Western University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. His career spans multiple industries, including oil & gas services, fintech, and software & IT solutions, with roles at TMM Consulting Group, TELUS Communications Inc., and G&K Services.
In 2021, he joined Nabodeep Trading International (NTI) as Sales Director, playing a key role in driving growth and overseeing operations. Under his leadership, NTI has expanded into European markets, increased revenue by 30% year-over-year, and improved profitability by 65%. Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, he is focused on strengthening operations in emerging markets across the Middle East and Africa.
Beyond business, Shafin has a deep passion for global cuisine. Drawing inspiration from his South Asian roots and European influences, he refines his culinary skills at Le Cordon Bleu Madrid, crafting bold, innovative fusion dishes.
